When we booked this trip, I was ready to be let down. My thought was we were going to sacrifice "epic" locations for ease of travel. I was ready for it to be cheesy, and probably not amazing as a trade off for getting to travel internationally from the US via a 30 min flight from Miami. Man I was wrong. We loved the Exumas, and it is at the top of my list for favorite sailing locations.
The island chains are largely uninhabited, and not many cruisers there. Most of the places we went, we had our own private islands/bays. I think we maybe had one or two nights with another boat in the same harbor. The islands were beautiful, the water was calm and clear, and the wild life was amazing. We loved the 2 grottos, Rachel's bubble bath, pig island, all the nurse sharks, and amazing snorkeling.

Things to be aware of- There are not a ton of places to eat on shore, so you will need to plan to eat more/provision more on the boat. If you don't have a water maker, be thrifty with your water usage!
