We chartered for two weeks in Tahiti and since it was just 2 of us we got a Benneteau 40. Tahiti is a big production on Saturdays during April when it is girls sailing week and 12 or more 62' go out. So Saturday turnover is a base challenge. Because of that they let us on a day early.
The boat was 5 years old but the best we ever had. We had big winds the whole time and had one situation where our anchor dragged in 35 knots. (It could have had a bigger anchor). The windlass didn't work...and we got stuck in mud. We were in a protected area after returning from Huihaine. Dream sent out a motor boat and two mechanics, required the relay, took us to base to replace both, and within three hours we were on a mooring ball in Bora Bora.
All in all the base was very well organized for the massive number of boats. Our boat had no other issues. The staff was awesome. Because of that we bought a boat to put in charter with Dream. We have chartered at Key West, LaPaz and Exumas with them prior. We see a huge improvement since the Benneteau investment t.
